Georgia's Super Series
2013

Presented by Wes Campbell

GSSS 2013 Points Race

This is the first year that the Georgia Super Six Series has been run by multiple tournament directors.  It is our goal to provide to all players, a fair and balanced points system that encourages players to participate in as many events as possible and to perform their best in each event.  The top three players of each division this year will receive Trophies and Series Title Recognition with pictures on the website. Because our staff are all working together for the first time, this year there will be no series “payout”.   We want to make sure our points system is fair, balanced, and perfect before adding in a payout.

If fundraising and sponsorships enable it, additional prizes or spots may be added as the series continues.  Only $1 of each player’s entry fees at each event will leave the event purse and be used to fund trophies and prizes for the overall series.  We will try and add prizes and additional value to each spot that gets paid out, without using player entry fees if at all possible.

Players must play in at least 3 of the first 5 events to qualify for the overall series points race.  Only the first 5 events will be included in the points standings.  Players will receive 1 point for every event they play and 1 point for everyone that they beat in their division.

Players wishing to change Divisions will be allowed to do so, and can only take ½ point with them when they switch.  Here is an Example of an extreme scenario:

A player plays REC in Event 1 and gets 10 points, INT in #2 and gets 10 points, ADV in #3 and gets 6 points, Open in #4 and gets 2 points. His rating allows him to play INT so he switches back for Event #5 and gets 12 points.

So INT is his "main" division and he gets 10 points from playing INT in event #2, and and 12 points in #5 for 22 points in INT.

He then gets 5 points for Event#1 -10 cut in half to 5.
He gets 3 points for Event #3 - 6 points cut in half to 3
He gets 1 point for Event #4 - 2 points cut in half to 1

So his grand total for the Series is
#1 - 5
#2 - 10
#3 - 3
#4 - 1
#5 - 12
----------
31 total points

Maximum number of points in each division wins!
